Rachel Werner, MPAS, PA-C, is dedicated to providing exceptional dermatological care to patients at Elite Dermatology in Vintage Park. Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the Texas Medical Board, Rachel has been practicing as a physician assistant in dermatology since 2016. With a focus on medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, she offers comprehensive care to patients of all ages, passionately helping them achieve their skin care goals.
A graduate with honors from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, where she earned her master’s in Physician Assistant Studies, Rachel’s academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville where she competed as a Division I collegiate track and field athlete in the 400-meter sprint.
Despite being born in San Antonio, Rachel’s diverse upbringing took her to cities across the nation, including Missouri, Ohio, and Michigan, along with a stint in Melbourne, Australia. Now calling Houston home after graduating from The Woodlands High School, Rachel brings a wealth of experience to her practice.
In addition to treating a variety of skin conditions, Rachel has participated in clinical research trials evaluating investigational medications for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Committed to staying at the forefront of her field, she consistently pursues continuing medical education to keep up with the latest dermatological advances. As a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Rachel combines expertise with a genuine passion for patient care.
Outside of her professional life, Rachel enjoys running the trails and neighborhoods of Houston, unwinding with relaxing trips to her family’s lake house, savoring her husband’s cooking, and navigating life as a new mother to her sweet son.
