A 5th generation Texan, Dr. Shelley Sekula-Gibbs graduated summa cum laude from Our Lady of the Lake College in San Antonio with a degree in chemistry. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and completed residencies in Family Medicine at the University of Florida in Gainesville and in Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She is board certified in Dermatology.
Dr. Sekula-Gibbs has over 30 years of experience in general, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She enjoys sharing her expertise with patients to help them optimize the health and appearance of their skin, hair and nails.
Dr. Sekula-Gibbs served as a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine where she taught residents and medical students and cared for patients at Ben Taub Hospital. She was honored to be elected president of the Houston Dermatological Society and the Texas Dermatological Society. She has served on the Advisory Board of the American Academy of Dermatology and held leadership roles in numerous professional organizations.
Dr. Shelley is a Red Cross shelter volunteer and serves on The Woodlands Township Board of Directors. In her free time, she enjoys being with family and friends.
