Johanna was born in Venezuela, where she completed her medical education 23 years ago. After finishing her studies, she moved to the United States and pursued further education at Keiser University in Florida. Over the last 20 years, she has dedicated herself to the healthcare field, accumulating two decades of experience in the medical sector.
For two decades, Johanna called South Florida home, working for the largest healthcare system in the state. This role deepened her commitment to patient care, and her exceptional efforts were recognized when she received the prestigious “Patient 1st Award” at the state level. This recognition is a testament to her unwavering dedication to prioritizing her patients’ needs.
Three years ago, Johanna relocated to Houston, where she continued to expand her professional credentials by becoming a certified medical translator in English and Spanish through the University of Houston. This additional skill has enhanced her ability to serve a diverse population, allowing her to bridge communication gaps between patients and healthcare providers effectively.
Outside of the office, Johanna enjoys spending quality time with her family and staying active through exercise. She strongly believes in the importance of balance, regularly dedicating time to loved ones and prioritizing her own health and well-being.
In addition to her medical career, Johanna is passionate about volunteering. She devotes her free time to helping those in need, and her efforts have been recognized by the “Día de la Mujer” organization, which honored her as an individual making a significant impact in the community. She is also proud to contribute to the Lupus Foundation of America, where she helps raise awareness and support for individuals affected by lupus.
With a firm belief in the importance of patient care and a deep desire to make a difference, Johanna remains committed to giving her best every day. As she often says: “My work in patient care is my passion. They say if you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.”
